Terms & Conditions

Last updated 28 August 2026

These terms govern your use of yourapi.dev (the "Service"), an API gateway management platform provided by community campuses ("we", "us"). yourapi.dev is a trading name of community campuses. By creating an account, subscribing to a plan, or otherwise using the Service, you enter into an agreement with community campuses.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By registering for an account or continuing to use the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation. If you use the Service as an individual, you confirm that you are of legal age to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

The Service lets you register API gateways and endpoints, issue and revoke API keys, proxy requests through our gateway, inspect request logs, review usage analytics, and manage your annual subscription and invoices. Features available to you depend on the plan you purchase.

3. Accounts and credentials

You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account or keys. Secret API keys are shown once at creation; we store only a hash and cannot recover them for you. Notify us immediately at support@yourapi.dev if you believe your account or a key has been compromised.

4. Licence and restrictions

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your own internal business purposes within the limits of your plan. You must not reverse engineer, decompile, resell, sublicense or redistribute the Service, nor circumvent plan limits, quotas, rate limits or other technical restrictions.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service to:

  • break any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights;
  • commit fraud, send spam, or distribute malware or other harmful code;
  • infringe intellectual property rights, including proxying content you have no right to distribute;
  • interfere with the security or integrity of the Service — including probing, scanning, penetration testing without written consent, denial-of-service attempts, unauthorised scraping, or attempting to access another customer's data;
  • proxy traffic to destinations you do not own or are not authorised to call.

6. Your content and traffic

You keep ownership of the data and traffic you route through the Service. You grant us a limited licence to host, transmit, process and log that data solely to operate, secure and support the Service. You are responsible for having the rights and any consents needed for the data you send through the Service.

7. Intellectual property

community campuses retains all rights, title and interest in the Service, including its software, dashboards, documentation and branding. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

8. Plans, payments and billing

Subscriptions are billed annually in advance as a single payment for the plan you select. Prices are shown on our pricing page before purchase, and upgrades mid-term are charged pro-rata for the remainder of the current term.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, invoicing, cancellation and refund mechanics are therefore governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Refunds are also described in our refund policy.

9. Service levels

We work to keep the Service available and performant, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, upstream provider failures, network conditions and events outside our control may affect availability. Priority processing and support response targets, where included in your plan, are targets and not guarantees.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay amounts due, create a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our acceptable use rules. Where practical we will warn you first and give you an opportunity to fix the problem. You may stop using the Service at any time; cancellation and refund handling follow our refund policy and Paddle's terms. After termination we may delete your gateways, keys, logs and other account data after a reasonable export window.

11. Warranties and liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify community campuses against claims, losses and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Service, from the traffic or content you route through it, or from your breach of these terms.

13. Changes to the Service or these terms

We may update the Service and these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or an in-app notice. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

14. General

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which community campuses is established, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, unless local consumer law gives you different rights. You may not assign this agreement without our consent; we may assign it as part of a merger, acquisition or reorganisation. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder stays in force.
